Be!ing: Five Ways of Leading Authentically in an iConnected World, began life in 2010 as a year-long learning and development programme on leadership for middle and senior managers in the telecommunications and banking sectors provided by the Academy for Collaborative Futures (ACF).
In 2016, Ngā Pūmanawa e Waru Education Trust (NPeW), Rotorua, New Zealand, used the programme’s leadership and change management content to spearhead its avowed intent of making Rotorua a great place to learn. Hundreds of teachers, heads of departments, and principals from schools across Rotorua city participated on the NPeW-ACF programmes.
As an alumnus of the NPeW-ACF programmes, this book will bring back pleasant (?) memories of the time you spent with your colleagues engaging with the virtues and practices of leadership. Akin to your learning on those programmes, this book’s raison d’etre is to build adaptiveness, resilience and personal effectiveness in uncertain times.
